Gilly's heavyweight experience at strategic level, culminates in a professional reputation where she is totally committed to achieving high quality performance standards.
Alongside running her own management development and training consultancy Gilly has a passion for sport and particularly netball where she achieved the highest of levels in the early 80’s. Gilly represented England U.19’s & U.21’s and was selected as the England U.23 Captain before moving on to become an Elite Coach.
Gilly continues to give back to netball and now works with a range of talented athletes offering coaching support and technical skills working as the Head Coach for the Severn Stars Wycliffe Nova Academy. Gilly has had a long association with Hucclecote Netball Club where she was instrumental in the growth of the club helping to take it from a small club to the one of the largest in England today.
Gilly is supported by a unique team of trainers and consultants within GSC, all of whom aspire to bring together the best practise in business to develop best practise in people. With over 30 years of design and delivery experience worldwide, G S Consultancy are familiar with different cultures spanning across the Globe, including the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.

MAZ WHITE
Maz is an articulate and highly organised Office Manager who has already worked with Gilly for 20 years in both a Corporate & Partnership Training environment.
With a thirst for getting the details right and having the added benefit of previous experience of the training & development world, Maz's expertise will certainly compliment the skills of the team.
In addition, Maz has a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the GSC clients along with existing relationships. With her outstanding customer service skills Maz looks forward to providing a service that exceeds and goes beyond your expectations.
CRAIG WARDMAN
Craig Wardman is an accredited Professional Coach, NLP Practitioner and his specialism is in personality profiling with tools such as DiSC, the innovative 'Colours' technique & MBTi.
Craig offers effective & motivational delivery & facilitation of leadership development & relationship management sales programmes, and has a wealth of experience in 1 to 1 business & life coaching. Craig has extensive experience of working with multi-national organisations, originating with many of the World's Leading Financial Services organisations.
In addition he works in the wider industry sectors including clients in both the private, public & voluntary sectors. This includes health & community care, education, telecommunications, media & newspapers, oil & petroleum, construction, energy, automotive, food, retail & travel sectors in the U.K., Europe & the Middle East & the Southern Hemisphere.
JILL MORROW
Jill Morrow is an executive coach and consultant specialising in management and leadership development and talent management.
She currently works with a number of coaching clients across various business sectors including Orange, Zurich International, BT and Reed Elsevier and is an Associate and Head of Executive Services for a Leadership Development company.
Jill is also a member of the visiting faculty of Henley Management College coaching on their leadership and career development programmes.
Jill's professional career has centred on the development of people and behavioural change in organisations and she easily recognises and understands behavioural issues and has a practical approach to facilitating change in individuals.
CLARE MAYALL
As an internationally experienced OD/HR consultant, Clare has worked in a variety of sectors from telecoms, through manufacturing, financial services and private independent schools.
With a first degree in psychology and a postgraduate qualification on HR Management Clare has experience in the design of competency frameworks, development/assessment centres and the use of psychometrics.
Clare is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. In addition Clare has designed, developed and facilitated many Senior Leadership Programmes and has also developed talent programmes to help identify and fast track identified individuals. Clare has worked in countries as diverse as Japan and the USA and has a great understanding on all cultural issues.
MARTYN ROBERTS
Starting his career with a global financial services organisation over 30 years ago Martyn has 20 years’ experience specialising in Learning & Development across all business areas including not for profit and public sector.
Martyn’s highly consultative and considered approach allows him to partner with key stakeholders to design innovative and engaging bespoke solutions that create real impact with learners and help businesses to achieve the aims and objectives they require to succeed.
Working as a Head of L&D in multiple businesses across all levels allowed Martyn to develop a truly wide range of skills in many areas such as change management, leadership & development, coaching, mentoring, call coaching, customer service as well as more recently developing sessions in personal resilience and mental health awareness.
Martyn is familiar with working in regulated financial services environments and has a passion for developing service led teams in areas of call management and face to face relationships. He also enjoys developing team leaders to deliver customer focused service through first contact resolution, effective call handling, observations, call coaching and monitoring against performance standards.
IAN BANYARD
Ian is partner and director of an award winning hotel booking agency and event management company. He is also a corporate trainer who uses his corporate experience and personal insight to create and deliver business, training and coaching for a diverse range of corporate clients.
He has a wide area of experience with clients in the UK and Middle East including Telecommunications, Banking & Financial Services, Manufacturing, Construction, Hotel & Hospitality, Property Development, Healthcare, Police, Energy, Retail Housing Associations and Charities.
Ian is passionate about helping leaders and their teams enhance businesses performance. He specialises in Mindful Leadership, Team Engagement, Sales/Customer Care and Personal Enhancement to create healthy, sustainable success in business. When he's not working he's usually walking, guiding small groups mindfully in nature.
MIRANDA JENKINS
Miranda is an inspiring, creative and engaging training professional. Her skills lie in designing and delivering interactive and enjoyable learning experiences. Feedback from clients endorses her friendly and approachable style - people look forward to attending her programmes and leave with skills and approaches that are immediately transferable to their leadership and management roles.
She encourages participants to identify goals, take responsibility for learning and to reflect on their ongoing development; in this way, learning becomes continuous, embedded and importantly, enabling.
She combines her passion for people development with her desire to see individuals transform their lives and achieve their potential. She has worked with multi £million blue-chip companies in the UK and Europe, manufacturing, public sector organisations, community projects and charities. MIKE FRANKLYN
Mike Franklyn is an experienced senior executive with a first class track record of project managing, designing and delivering highly effective individual and group change, development and outplacement programmes.
Supported by a successful senior management career working with market leading service sector companies, management and business consultancies, Mike has extensive commercial experience which he has continued to build upon. This includes working with all levels and functions of staff and within a wide range of production, manufacturing and service environments for some of the largest and most respected companies in the UK.
Mike is an energetic and self-motivated individual who has proven to be an adaptable, pragmatic and nurturing leader. His highly developed problem solving skills and supportive nature are perfect within the field of change, development and outplacement.
SU PORTER-SCOTT
Su is our lead consultant for delivering Mental Health First Aid and is an experienced and qualified trainer who draws on her wide ranging but highly relevant background. Su is registered with Nuco Training, one of the largest and most respected organisations in the sector and delivers the RQF (Regulated Qualification Framework Qualification) which are Ofqual regulated and certified through First Aid Awards Ltd.
She is passionate about continuing to reduce stigma, raise awareness and support those struggling with mental health issues by providing high quality training to help increase the number of mental health first aiders in the workplace. Having studied Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, with The Arbours Association in London, undertaking placements in a therapeutic community and a crisis centre, this has helped Su to provide a "real-life" rather than text book understanding of mental health conditions.
Su is qualified to instruct a full range of accredited Mental Health First Aid courses at Levels 1, 2 and 3 and she also holds a Level 3 qualification in Teaching and Learning. She has strong and engaging presentation and communication skills which enables her to meet the collective needs of diverse groups and is a great addition to the GSC Team.
NIGEL WARD
Having gained operational experience within a variety of engineering, project management and teaching roles for the Royal Navy, receiving various MoD, Royal Navy and BAe Systems Awards for Innovation and Efficiency, Nigel is now an independent consultant and trainer who has the privilege of working alongside clients from all sectors developing and implementing Change and Continuous Improvement Management and Business Growth through coaching, consultancy and training interventions.
With a focus on Consultancy, Change Management, Management & Leadership, Lean-Six Sigma, Project Management and Systems Thinking the interactive and practical training is reinforced by sound theory. Coming to the academic world later in life Nigel has completed a MBA, MEd, MSc (Service Lean Operations) as part of his own personal development linking both practice to theory.
Nigel has published a number of conference papers presented at the British Academy of Management (BAM), EuROMA Conference: Managing Operations in Service Economies and is author of various Engineering Articles in the Review of Naval Engineering.
DONNA GREEN
Donna has been working in the field of people and organisational development for over 18 years, specifically looking to develop individual and leadership capability.
Donna has developed a way of working which focuses on delivering both business and personal change simultaneously, enabling her to facilitate improvements in business and personal performance and ensuring change is sustainable beyond her involvement.
The way that she works to build our relationships is critical. Qualified to the hilt; (we can bore you with all of Donna's qualifications if you want!) Continuing professional development is part of who Donna is and what she is about.
ROB SHORRICK
Rob has held a variety of Senior HR Leadership roles as a member of the Executive Committees of Lexis Nexis International, Selex Galileo SpA, BAES Avionics Group and Macfarlane Group PLC, as well as Board membership of Giuffre SpA, Mori SpA, the Board of Trustees Selex Pension Scheme and the Centre for SelfManaged Learning.
Rob has worked throughout the world in his corporate and client work which has been predominantly with large global multi-nationals. His delivery has often focused on HR transformation, organisational leadership, executive team effectiveness and the support of teams and organisations through change. He has worked with various Unions in the UK and Italy on partnership, change and pensions projects and helped HR functions to align around business strategy and goals. Rob also has significant experience in the application of strategic learning solutions and collaborative learning approaches. Rob has an MSc in Manager Development from Roffey Park Institute/Salford University and is on the Editorial Advisory Board for ‘Development and Learning in Organisations’. Rob’s experience ranges across many organisations including: BAES Plc, RELX Plc, Amadeus IT Group, Weir Group Plc, FDM Group Plc, NHS, Bart’s Health NHS Trust, AXA PPP Healthcare, Pitney Bowes Inc., Leonardo SpA, Boral Group, Havas Media, Informa Plc, Aliaxis, and Thales UK.
LARA GILKES
Lara is an executive coach, facilitator and specialist in resilience and transformation: individual; team and organisational.
She has over 20 years’ experience working in HR, running leadership development programmes and helping organisations change and transform to become more effective and fit for purpose for the future.
Lara’s clients say that her warm and supportive approach enables them to feel comfortable quickly, see new possibilities and perspectives and to be able to become the very best version of themselves.
Lara is qualified in a range of psychometric tools: MBTI; DiSC; Lumina Spark and has a Diploma in Performance Coaching for Business. She uses some innovative techniques to help you think and feel differently such as Thought Pattern Management (a methodology for shifting blockers to performance), the Positive Intelligence methodology to build resilience and Transactional Analysis (a tool to explore how we relate to others.)
Her most recent CPD has been on building ‘mental fitness’ to enable people to meet the challenges they face. She has been using this approach with great success with frontline workers throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
SUE BAILEY
Sue is highly pragmatic and commercially focused senior level HR professional. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) with a Masters Degree in Strategic Human Resource Management, Sue has over twenty years of senior level experience dealing with an extremely varied range of complex, confidential and sensitive people management issues.
As Head of HR for a regional building society and local Housing Association she has devised and implemented strategic people plans working collaboratively with other senior leaders. Sue has managed interim project assignments in reward, recruitment, and diversity and inclusion.
Sue now runs her own HR Consultancy advising a varied range of clients on a wide range of HR matters including restructuring, management standards, contracts of employment, pay, embedding company values, and coaching business leaders on dealing with dismissal and disciplinary situations. She is a certified NLP Practitioner and has acted as a Trustee for many years on Boards in Education, Sports/physical activity and pension schemes.
FIONA PRATTLEY
Fiona has spent over 15 years in general management, human resources and training and development roles.
Her experience has been in both private and corporate organisations with service in the hospitality, retail, manufacturing, logistics and distribution sectors. She graduated with honours at Sheffield Polytechnic and later undertook the Institute of Personnel and Development qualification at the University of Northumbria.
She is currently a Member of the Institute of Personnel & Development.
IAN BURTON
Ian Burton's interest in the outdoor life began many years ago after he had completed his HND's in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
Being exposed to mountaineering at an early age and whilst still in employment both took part in, and organised, outdoor training exercises for co- employees.
In 1996 Ian took voluntary redundancy and embarked on a career in providing a wide range of outdoor based training services as well as becoming fully qualified in aspects of outdoor pursuits. Ian is a resourceful and practical person who can relate to people on many different levels, with an easy manner and high standards and is always well received by GSC clients.
PAUL BATTY
Paul Batty is a highly successful development training, and facilitation specialist, with over 20 years experience, particularly in the outdoor experiential arena.
Paul has worked closely with many organisations both in the UK and abroad gaining a wealth of experience including work in retailing, banking, insurance, and manufacturing. Paul is adept at working with top teams from blue-chip organisations through to shop floor personnel .
As an excellent communicator, outgoing and dynamic he quickly works well with new groups of people. His challenging yet friendly and supportive style encourages people to focus on priority areas and issues confidently and quickly.
ROGER LLOYD-THOMPSON
Roger is a specialist actor/coach with 15 years experience in the personal development field. He currently enjoys association with many leading management development companies.
His training as an actor allows him to offer authentic and powerful observations on man personal impact skills such as feedback, status and body language. His clients include both public & private sector and include: BBC, The Environmental Agency, Sports Scotland, Vocalink, Pearson Publishing, Which?, Birmingham Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, BT, Debenhams, Whitbread, Kohler Mira.
Roger is a passionate and experienced advocate of Forum Theatre; a technique that allows participants to experience and take part in live scenarios 'bespoke' to fit their needs. He also enjoys working 'one to one' as this encourages individuals to create their own light bulb moments in safely challenging environments.
MARIANNE O'CONNOR
Marianne is a qualified executive coach with a Diploma in Leadership Mentoring and Executive Coaching. Originally an actor, Marianne began working in the corporate field twelve years ago as an actor coach, using business simulations to highlight and explore behavioural impact.
She has worked in the public and private sectors with clients such as Accenture, the BBC, KPMG, THE MOD, Clifford Chance, Allen & Overy and the NHS. Marianne works with clients to ensure they are clear about their objectives and have the motivation and capabilities to succeed.
Her personal impact coaching sessions focus on enabling the client to access their authentic personal presence with particular emphasis on developing a heightened physical awareness and vocal confidence. By drawing on her experience as an actor she encourages clients to communicate with confidence and credibility, using a wide range of voice and body language skills.
