Creating the HSS Way


Sales Team Excellence Programme helps their ‘double-digit growth’

HSS Is the specialist training division of the UK’s original tool and equipment hire company, HSS Hire Group. HSS Training are market leaders in offering core workplace training across some of the UK’s most important sectors. Under the leadership of Mark Winfield, Managing Director, HSS having been growing from strength to strength.

Mark approached GSC back in 2021 and along with his Sales Director requested GSC to develop and design a sales team excellence programme to incorporate a blended learning approach to help them focus on developing, delivering and embedding a culture shift – ‘creating the HSS way’.


The programme incorporated a mixed approach which included:-

  • working in partnership with HSS

  • owned & coached by their Sales Director after each stage

  • comprised of a series of hybrid bite size workshops offering a mix of in person and virtual opportunities

  • the timing spread out to maximise the application of learning, working around operational needs

  • included self-directed learning links tailored to different personality/learning styles
