Phil Allcock Phil began his career working with young people and then managers, using the outdoors to develop personal, leadership and team effectiveness. Since then he has worked with a wide range of client’s, both in the UK and Internationally, to enable people to, for example, lead, innovate, coach improved performance out of others and manage themselves more effectively. Phil’s work is based on the principle that, if sustained behaviour change doesn’t result from what he does with the people he’s paid to work with, someone’s money has been wasted. He is, therefore, necessarily fascinated by the challenge of getting people to behave differently. In pursuit of more in-depth understanding of how to meet that challenge Phil has recently completed a PhD, which focused on behavioural decision making and how learning and development interventions do, and don’t, influence it. Since then, Phil’s has used the insights gained from his research to help organisations maximise the return they get from their investment in learning and development. |
